The Century Initiative is pleased to announce the appointment of Lisa Lalande to Chief Executive Officer of the Century Initiative effective immediately.
Lisa brings a breadth of knowledge from her various roles spanning 22 years in civil society and financial services. These include more than a decade in executive positions at the Mowat Centre, LIFT Philanthropy Partners (venture philanthropy) and Habitat for Humanity. Lisa’s career also included working in retail banking and wealth management supporting proposed mergers and large-scale restructuring exercises.
Most recently, Lisa held the position of Executive Director of the Mowat Centre’s Not-for-Profit Research Hub (Mowat NFP) where she led the development and execution of applied public policy research on systemic issues affecting the non-profit sector. Her most recent work focused on improving evidence-informed policymaking in Canada.
“In her new role, Lisa will have the opportunity to translate her in-depth knowledge of public policy and knowledge mobilization, with her practical experience in change management and scaling towards growing our population meaningfully and thoughtfully,” says Mark Wiseman, Chair of the Board of the Century Initiative.

Lisa’s collaborative, innovative and action oriented leadership style will allow CI to continue to build a strong ecosystem of like-minded influencers to dynamically move the CI agenda forward.
